Pros and cons of Learn Czech - WordPower app for iPhone and iPad

Learn Czech - WordPower app good for

I just purchased this App this morning and so far it’s quite good. Admittedly I haven’t used it for any great length of time but it seems comprehensive. My girl friend is Czech and she and the kids speak Czech at home so of course I’m in the process of learning this language since we are under one roof. So far I would say it’s going to be beneficial. 2008 words is a lot of words! For $10.00 I’d say I got my moneys worth. Nice App!
This is a very useful tool for building a solid basic vocabulary. The words are well organized into semantic groups, and there are plenty of useful example sentences. As I see it, the app has three main flaws: 1) Occasional mistranslated words, like confusing Druhy (2nd) for Vteři (unit of time). 2) Its not possible to copy any of the example sentences. If I come across an example usage that I want to discuss with my tutor, I cannot just copy it and paste it into a message, or send it, like in so many other apps. 3) Verbs are severely underrepresented here, and often only one form of a verb is recognized while searching, so entering an infinitive to find example usage is useless.
I use this for vocabulary while using Pimsleur for conversation. Great tool!

Some bad moments

It has got many vocabulary but it needs a lot of improvements. The words are not explained properly, they should be used in a sentence... Verbs are not conjuked so they are useless! Definitely not worth the price!
For some reason this app stopped working after some os updates. I will come back and change my review if they fix it.
